Different Ways Lovers Celebrate Valentine’s Day or Not
It’s Valentine’s Day today, and I want to talk about lovers. You see, there are different kinds of lovers, and how they celebrate Valentine’s Day varies.
Let’s look at a few of them:
Lovers OYO: OYO means "On Your Own." These lovers don’t even mention Valentine’s Day to each other. They don’t want trouble, and they don’t want to be disappointed, so they keep quiet about it. As far as their partner is concerned, they don’t even know it’s the 14th of February. Rest assured, they’d make sure not to mention today’s date around each other.
Lovers “Everyday is Valentine”: This is code for I ain’t getting you any gift because I don’t wanna. This could be because Valentine’s Day celebrations are beneath them; they’d never stoop so low as to make a big deal about a day just like others. The earth just rotated—not a big deal! Even if their partner loves the celebration of Valentine’s Day, they don’t say anything about it; instead they join in the disdain of something as trivial as a new day being made into a big deal. See, they must portray maturity, awwn.
Lovers Lovers: These are the kinds we all wish to have, well, except the “disdained.” Today is important to them, and they recount their love escapades to each other. They don’t stop there; they also get each other gifts, which could be thoughtful, expensive, cheap, etc. Whichever it is, they just make it special!
